To hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour, see the world in a grain of sand, and see heaven in a wild flower.
— William Blake
and there’s a part where an overview of the Vassar main gate and library and dorms is shown to give off the impression that the school the movie is based in is like beautiful i guess.
and i paused it, feeling rather egotistical in a good way, and after about a minute they were like “can we watch the movie, dillon?”
and i was like sorry i can’t hear you over my ivy league status bye
sigh. If i could major in like 6 of these departments, I would.
so if I take 5 classes/semester as well as 3 JYA in Japan, that’s 43 credits in total out of the required 34 to graduate.
I know that I’m majoring in Biochemistry because 1) it’s awesome; 2) it will inform and thus enhance my worldview greatly; 3) I plan on getting into Nanoscience (biotechnologies and other exciting things).
So that’s 18/43 credits used.
The other fields that I wish to study are Japanese, Film, Media Studies, Philosophy, and Cognitive Science.
I know I would just love taking film and film production, but unfortunately I don’t think it would best utilize my time. I do, however, wish to be fluent in the various areas of media in order to enhance my future job presentations as well as being able to use that knowledge to advocate for things like equality and other social things.
But i LOVE philosophy and I know I would love the classes at Vassar. gah.
