To hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour, see the world in a grain of sand, and see heaven in a wild flower.
— William Blake
After reading on Vanderbilt’s website that this year’s Early Decision applicants were insanely qualified (“Never before in our institution’s history has the applicant pool been so academically qualified, geographically diverse, and engaged in their communities.”), it’s quite safe to assume that i wasn’t accepted to my dream school. I’ll get the letter in a day or two.
Not like it matters any more.
I’m not sure how sane i’ll be in the next couple days as I’m going to have to go to a college now that doesn’t provide the best fit for me (if i even get accepted there).
But regardless, i am thankful/grateful that I am lucky enough to even be in the position to apply to such a great college as a great portion of the world does not even have access to secondary education yet.
